LLFlex Acquires Tobacco Packaging Division of Morrisette Packaging, Bolstering Tobacco Packaging Offerings

November 3, 2025

LLFlex – a global leader in packaging materials and industrial laminate solutions for the consumer packaging, building & construction, and wire & cable industries – has acquired Morrisette’s tobacco packaging business. This combination creates the largest and most experienced supplier of high-quality innerfoil and innerframe tobacco packaging in North America. Combined, the two companies have serviced the tobacco industry for over 100 years.

This acquisition expands LLFlex’s footprint in the tobacco industry. While continuing to supply innerfoil and innerframe, LLFlex offers additional packaging options such as printed innerfoil and printed innerframe, board laminated with decorative films for outer boxes and cartons, and transfer-metalized board for plastic-free options.

“Working closely with the owners and executives of Morrisette Packaging has allowed us to create a unique combination of assets, capabilities, expertise and unparalleled commitment to our customers,” said Tom Bowden, CEO of LLFlex. “Morrisette shared LLFlex’s commitment to customer success, and we look forward to continuing to service this very important market. We believe that our valued current and new customers will benefit from our large-scale capacity, robust global supply chain, and our growing portfolio of packaging solutions.”

Kelley Stearman, LLFlex SVP of Business Development, believes “Morrisette’s expertise and customer focus are a perfect complement to LLFlex’s core strengths and proud heritage of supplying high quality packaging materials for tobacco products. Customers will notice immediate benefits by being able to source innerfoil, as well as plain and printed innerframe, from a single source. Our two manufacturing facilities and multiple assets will provide contingency sourcing and supply security for our customers.”
